With an elite team of plastic surgeons across the U.S. and a family of over 80,000 satisfied patients, we're on a mission to make beauty accessible to all.Mia Aesthetics provides on-the-job training, professional development opportunities, opportunities for advancement, benefit offerings, and more.Be a part of a team transforming lives and supporting dreams every day!Pay Range: $19- $21 per hourOn-the-job trainingCompetitive payCompany paid holidayTeam camaraderie and spiritRequirementsThe Medical Receptionist- Clinical Operations Specialist will perform multi-faceted job responsibilities that are narrow and wide in scope to include administrative, finance, and clinical pre-operative duties.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times as a representative of Mia Aesthetics when interfacing with all patients and vendorsPerforms clerical and administrative roles when needed according to the demands of the businessPromotes a progressive attitude for continued improvement of patient care and customer serviceTracks inventory for surgical and clinical accessories/supplies for designated departmentMaintains confidentiality at all times and safeguards patients medical records/HIPAAChampions a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by complying with OSHA/ legal regulationsPre-OperativeCharges and collects all payments for all surgeries, surgical accessories, and Mia merchandiseGenerates daily invoices while processing financial transactions to balance end of dayConfirms surgical patient appointments and sends out schedules to their respective teams dailyTakes pre-operative photos and process electronic prescriptions for doctorsAbility to create patient charts, record keeping, and filing in a timely mannerIn charge of preliminary physical test such as vitals needed the day before all surgeriesVerifies patient labs, intake information, and consents prior to and the day of surgeryDay Of SurgeryPrepares each patient for surgery by having them undress, collecting urine samples for POC testing and verifying all post-surgical instructionsPerforms POC testing (.e.g., drug testing, HCG testing, nicotine testing)Chaperones providers during immediate consultationsScribes operative reports for Surgeons at the end of every surgical caseEnsures invoices, sumo calendar, and charts have matching patient information day of surgeryConfirms all surgical procedures with patient as well as medical history and demographic informationEducates patient by transmitting physician’s orders and answering questions in regard to surgeryPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding customer service skillsAbility to work with a high sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work rotating shiftsStrong computer literacy skillsEducation And ExperienceGED or High School DiplomaActive Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferredPlastic Surgery knowledge preferredMinimum 1-2 years of customer service experienceExperience working in an operating room preferredBilingual in English and Spanish requiredHIPAA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferredMaintains and holds an active Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationDesigned with your well-being in mind, Mia Aesthetics Benefit Offerings include:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceDependent Care Flexible Spending AccountHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance Program401KPaid Time OffPaid Company HolidaysLeaveSurgical services at a discounted rateBenefits as dictated by applicable lawJoin us: https://miaaesthetics.com/careers/#miajobs #mia_talent
