Controls Engineer

3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or a related engineering environmentHands-on experience with utilities systems including cogeneration plants (turbines and generators), heat recovery steam generators (boilers), water and wastewater treatment systems, HVAC, compressed air systems, natural gas systems, and steam distribution networksWorking knowledge of SAP for maintenance or operational processesExperience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and AC motors, particularly Allen-Bradley PowerFlex systemsStrong experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), especially Allen-Bradley ControlLogix (RSLogix 5000)Proficiency with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), particularly PanelView and FactoryTalk; familiarity with virtual workstation environments is a plusKnowledge of burner management and gas safety systemsUnderstanding of Operational Technology (OT) networks, including Ethernet- and Modbus-based communication systemsStrong foundation in electrical construction, maintenance practices, and safety standards including NEC and NFPA 70EExperience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk ViewKnowledge of instrumentation field devices such as pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters and switchesExperience with low-voltage systems (≤600V), including Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and panelboards (strongly preferred)Exposure to medium-voltage systems (2.3kV MCCs) is a plusHigh-voltage power distribution experience (13.2kV–69kV), including transformers, switchgear, oil circuit breakers, and high-voltage switching equipment, is an added advantage
