Job DescriptionSummary of Responsibilities: The Office Manager will ensure that the business policy and imperatives created by Marietta Eye Clinic (MEC) are being accomplished by the staff. The responsibility of this role is to direct staff and coordinate with other staff members and heads of various departments to ensure that all Practice financial and strategic goals are being met in the application of operations and customer service in assigned location(s).ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Ensures patient, financial, and contractual obligations are met by Practice in an efficient and productive manner by establishing best-in-class customer services, processes, and metricsImplements, develops as directed, and directs established processes and operations of the Practice to optimal efficienciesUses continuous improvement methods to enhance policies and procedures.Manages staff and partners with HR for hiring, disciplinary action and terminations when neededUnderstands and actively monitors key productivity and outcome metrics to ensure customer service and financial performance.Works with IT to ensure optimal system functionality.Collaborates with physicians as directed as well as clinical and optical directors to insure consistent efficient clinic flow at all locationsPromotes productive working relationships in the various locations with the ophthalmic community.Attends all required meetings and participates in corporate calls and initiatives.Works closely with other managers and/or Senior Management to assure successful design and implementation of all new projects and processes.Insures external and internal building and related components are maintained properly and coordinate any issues with appropriate vendorAbility to effectively manage through change and ambiguityResponsible for assuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.Competencies:Great arbitration and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Budgeting and analysis skillsProblem solver with analytical skills.Personable; empathetic with patient's needs and concernsExcellent verbal and written communications with strong presentation abilitiesWell-organized with attention to detail.Ability to work effectively as member of a teamExceptional leadership, with demonstrated ability to lead diverse and varying teams to high performanceExhibit a professional demeanor at all times.Treats others with courtesy and respect.Ability to work with interruptions and manage multiple prioritiesSpeaks, understands and writes fluent EnglishWrites legiblyQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare/business disciplineMinimum Background Requirements:A minimum of 3 to 5 years in healthcareA minimum of 2 years management experience in a healthcare environmentPrevious ophthalmology experience highly desired, but not requiredAbility to speak and understand Spanish desired, but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be in good physical and mental condition to withstand the stress and demands of an active position with consistently medium to high levels of stress.Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, adequate vision and hearing needed in daily work.Good voice quality and a friendly voice tone are desired.May stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
