You will build trusted relationships with communities, governments and partners to support project success and long-term positive impact.Your day-to-day!Lead stakeholder engagement and maintain relationships with communities, governments and partnersOrganize and facilitate public meetings, workshops and consultationsDevelop communication materials and engagement strategies for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, battery storage, and transmission infrastructureSupport permitting processes and public affairs initiativesMonitor stakeholder sentiment and manage issues proactivelyCollaborate with project development, environmental, engineering, permitting, and construction teams to align engagement with project timelinesIdentify and support community partnerships and investment initiativesMaintain stakeholder data and report on engagement outcomesYour skills, our requirements!7+ years of experience in stakeholder relations, community engagement or public affairsExperience in renewable energy, infrastructure or similar sectorsBachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Environmental Studies, Community Development, or in a relevant fieldStrong communication, presentation and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage complex stakeholder environmentsProject management and organizational skillsKnowledge of permitting and regulatory processesProficiency with Microsoft OfficeAdditional considerations!The position could be based at the company’s San Diego Office in California, or remote in the USAThis role requires approximately 25% travel.This position is a P4 level.Our benefits!Competitive salary and annual bonus;Three weeks vacation in the first year of employment and paid vacation during the holiday season;Insurance coverage, 100% paid by Innergex, effective the first day of employment;401K retirement plan with employer participation;100% Employer-funded Wellness Account;Electric vehicle (E-VIP) incentive program;Hybrid work model;Career development opportunities;Offices accessible by public transportation.Pay Transparency StatementCompensation for roles at Innergex varies based on a wide range of factors, including skill set, education, and relevant experience. We are committed to pay equity and take internal equity among current team members into account when determining any final offer.To support pay transparency, the hiring range for this position is $115,000–$140,000 per year, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Your final base salary, if hired, will be determined by factors such as your skills, education, and experience, along with our commitment to internal equity.Please note that it is not typical to hire at the top of the hiring range, as doing so limits opportunities for future salary growth.
