Range Operator/ Customer Service Associate -Golf Club
The Opportunity:The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers is Manhattan's most popular destination to learn, practice, and play. Located on the scenic Hudson River, the Golf Club hosts a state of the art automated tee up driving range and teaching academy. The Golf Club Academy offers instructional programs for kids and adults who can elect to learn in group or individual settings.The Golf Club is seeking candidates who are outgoing, cordial, career-oriented, and passionate to join our Customer Service Team. This is an opportunity to be a key person on the front line of our business. Our goal is to consistently deliver safe, positive, and engaging customer experiences.Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and may be called upon to handle various aspects of club operations. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.General ResponsibilitiesExhibit outstanding customer service to members and guestsMaintain a positive attitude and take initiativeFront Desk ResponsibilitiesConsistently greet all clients in person, via email, and over the phoneKeep abreast of and provide pertinent information to clients, vendors, and team members: specials, events, programming etc.Effectively manage client inquiries through active listening and offering alternative options where applicableMonitor visitor access and maintain security awarenessActively engage and build positive relationships with membersUpdate and monitor the Dash point of sale program and NoWait Reservation SystemAssist with administrative tasks and perform cashiering duties as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized workspaceFront Entrance CheckpointProactively greet clients upon entryBe mindful of capacity regulations and inform clients as neededCapture clients' names and reservation time upon entryMonitor the stalls and alert customer service when clients' sessions have lapsedRange OperatorMaintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility, focusing on the outdoor hitting baysPrioritize the clients and be proactive in your communicationsConsistently greet returning clientele and welcome new guestsEffectively manage client inquiries through active listening and offering alternative options where applicableEnsure smooth operation of the tee-line through calling out open stalls, recognizing and correcting stall errors, and maintaining awareness of the ball distribution systemAssist with events/Water Hazard serviceMust be adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced, all-hands-on deck, team environmentSuperior Front Line customer service skills (hospitality experience a plus)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsEnergetic and welcoming demeanorAbility to sell and recruit members on programming and membership opportunitiesFriendly and professional phone etiquetteProficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and a willingness to learn new technology (Dash, NoWait etc.)
