This role is deeply focused on understanding and explaining the core drivers of restaurant performance, such as sales, traffic, check growth, promotions, menu mix, and pricing, and translating those insights into clear, actionable recommendations.This role goes beyond traditional FP&A. Success is defined by the ability to connect operating behavior and guest trends to financial outcomes, identify what is truly driving results, and influence decisions that improve topline growth and margin performance across a multi-unit restaurant system.The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, data-driven, and obsessed with performance trends, particularly sales, traffic, check and guest behavior. This role must elevate complex analysis into clear executive narratives.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Performance & Driver AnalyticsOwn analysis of sales, traffic, check growth, and mix trends, identifying key drivers and emerging patterns across the systemAnalyze the impact of discounts, promotions, pricing actions, and menu mix on traffic, average check, margins, and profitabilityPartner with Marketing and Operations to evaluate promotional effectiveness, value strategies, and guest responseConduct pre- and post-analysis on menu changes, promotional campaigns, pricing tests, and operational initiativesForecasting & Strategic SupportSupport the development of the sales forecast by grounding projections in observed trends across traffic, check growth, promotions, and mixTranslate trends in traffic, pricing, mix, and promotions into forward-looking revenue and margin implicationsPartner cross-functionally with Operations and Marketing to assess scenarios, risks, and tradeoffs tied to growth initiativesHelp leadership understand what must happen operationally to deliver financial expectationsData-Driven Performance AnalyticsTranslate large, complex datasets into concise insights that explain what changed, why it changed, and what actions matter mostDevelop and maintain reporting that integrates financial and operational KPIs in a way that is intuitive for operators and executivesAnalyze performance across restaurant cohorts, regions, formats, channels, and dayparts to identify opportunities and best practicesSupport monthly business reviews with clear, actionable analysis that drives accountability and decisionsBI Tools, Reporting & Data EnablementServe as a power user and thought leader for business intelligence tools, with Power BI as the primary platformDesign, build, and evolve dashboards that provide timely visibility into sales, traffic, promotions, and margin driversPartner with Data and IT teams to improve data quality, governance, and analytical reliabilityExecutive & Board-Level SupportProduce executive-ready PowerPoint materials that clearly connect operating performance to financial outcomesShape the narrative for senior leadership by distilling complex analysis into focused, decision-oriented takeawaysEnsure insights are internally consistent, data-validated, and aligned across Finance, Operations, and MarketingKey Attributes for SuccessHighly analytical, curious, and comfortable working with imperfect or noisy dataStrong ability to synthesize details into executive-level insightsOperator-minded, practical, and action-orientedTrusted advisor who can challenge assumptions constructivelyExperience Requirements7+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience; multi-unit restaurant or consumer business experience strongly preferredStrong background in business intelligence, analytics, and performance reportingAdvanced experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools such as Tableau or Looker)Proven ability to translate complex datasets into executive-ready insightsExperience supporting executive-level reviews and presentationsBA/BS Required, MBA a plusMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time Team Members on the first of the month following their start date.
