General Production Worker - 3rd Shift - Start ASAPThis role involves working on a fast-paced production line to assemble materials, operate machinery, and perform visual inspections before parts are packaged and shipped. You will rotate through different stations, including assembling components, lifting finished parts from the line, inspecting them for defects, and placing them into boxes for shipment. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work an overnight shift.ResponsibilitiesWork on the production line to assemble materials and components according to established procedures.Operate production and manufacturing machines safely and efficiently.Lift finished parts off the production line and place them into boxes for shipment.Perform visual quality inspections on parts before packaging, checking for defects such as scratches, paint marks, dents, or other imperfections.Assemble components and ensure they are correctly attached before packaging.Rotate through various production positions based on operational needs and team preferences.Handle and lift parts, including car hood components made of plastic and foam, and position them at the workstation.Maintain consistent productivity and quality standards throughout the shift.Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required personal protective equipment.Support overtime and weekend work during launch periods as needed.Demonstrate reliability and longevity in the role by maintaining strong attendance and consistent performance.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of recent manufacturing experience in a production worker, operator, assembler, or warehouse role within the last 6 months of work.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift.Proven visual inspection experience, including identifying defects such as scratches, paint marks, dents, or similar issues on parts.Demonstrated job longevity, with at least 8 months or longer at each of the past three jobs.Experience in general production, general labor, assembly, and manufacturing environments.Ability to follow instructions, adhere to production processes, and meet quality standards.Capability to work a third-shift schedule from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.Willingness to complete required drug testing and related documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical aptitude or mechanical experience.Machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production setting.Strong attention to detail and ability to spot visual defects quickly.Reliability and strong attendance record to support production and team goals.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $16.85 - $16.85/hr.
