Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Contractor

We specialize in neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic care, and personal injury (PI) cases, with a strong emphasis on accessibility, flexibility, and quality outcomes. Position Overview We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor . This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to provide care via telehealth and/or in-home visits. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver treatment sessions and support patient recovery across both insurance and personal injury cases. Compensation • $32 per visit – Telehealth sessions • $42 per visit – In-home visits • Flexible scheduling • 1099 independent contractor position Responsibility Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist • Deliver care via tele-health and/or in-home visits • Follow established Plans of Care (POC) created by the Physical Therapist • Accurately document all treatment sessions • Communicate patient progress and updates to supervising PT • Ensure all care is delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations Qualifications • Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing (required) • Must have an Individual NPI (Type 1) or be willing to obtain one prior to start • Strong patient care and communication skills • Ability to work independently while following PT supervision • Experience in orthopedic, neurological (stroke, Parkinson’s), or personal injury rehabilitation preferred • Must be comfortable providing care via telehealth and in-home settings • Must comply with supervision requirements established by the Physical Therapist Support Provided (What we handle for you) • Assistance with obtaining your Individual NPI (Type 1) if not already established • Administrative and onboarding support • Flexible scheduling and case assignment • Supportive team environment with clear PT supervision and guidance Additional Benefits • Opportunity to grow with a startup company • Flexible hybrid work model (telehealth + in-home visits) • Consistent patient flow (PI and insurance cases) Why Join NIEA Connect Health • Flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle • Opportunity to be part of a growing startup from the ground up • Work alongside a collaborative clinical team • Make a meaningful impact in patient care How to Apply  Apply directly on LinkedIn or submit your resume and credentials.
