Network Engineer

Nesco Data Center and Infrastructure is seeking a Network Engineer in the Greater Phoenix AZ area.Position OverviewThe Network Implementation Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and configuring secure and reliable network solutions for client environments. This role supports both new installations and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time with minimal disruption to business operations.The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic environments.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Deployment & ImplementationInstall and configure network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless systemsPerform network migrations, upgrades, and system cutovers with careful planning and risk mitigationConfigure equipment from major vendors according to defined project requirementsExecute both remote and on-site deployments, including occasional after-hours implementationDesign Review & PlanningCollaborate with sales engineers, project managers, and clients to define technical requirementsParticipate in discovery sessions to assess client environmentsReview solution designs to ensure scalability, security, and compliance with internal standardsDevelop detailed implementation and transition plansTesting & ValidationConduct pre-implementation assessments and post-deployment testingValidate failover configurations, redundancy planning, and security policiesTroubleshoot and resolve issues identified during deployment or shortly after go-liveDocumentation & Knowledge TransferDocument configurations, IP addressing schemes, and device rolesCreate and update network diagrams and as-built documentationEnsure proper handoff to support teams following project completionMaintain accurate updates within internal documentation systemsClient & Stakeholder CommunicationProvide clear technical updates throughout the project lifecycleParticipate in kickoff and closeout meetingsServe as an escalation resource during initial stabilization periodsCoordinate transition of ongoing support to operations or service desk teamsAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform hardware maintenance and firmware updates as neededAssist with troubleshooting support tickets when requiredParticipate in an on-call rotation scheduleMentor junior engineers and support staffRequired Qualifications2–4 years of experience implementing and deploying network infrastructureStrong understanding of core networking concepts (Layer 2/Layer 3, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, etc.)Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms and firewallsExperience performing complex troubleshooting and root cause analysisAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentStrong organizational, documentation, and time management skillsWillingness to travel domestically when requiredAvailability to work in-office 2–3 days per weekPreferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as CCNA or equivalentExperience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript)Familiarity with network monitoring and management platformsExperience with Windows Server environmentsExperience working with professional services automation (PSA) toolsStrong client-facing communication skills and service-oriented mindsetProfessional SkillsStrong analytical and diagnostic capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentsClear and confident communication skillsHigh attention to detailSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solvingNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. com171#LI-KB1
