Design Engineer

Job Description Coordinate internally with engineers/drafters and the broader design team/consultants in the pursuit of successful projects Attend meetings with Clients and design team members and represent as the point of contact Responsible for performing specific tasks as a part of a broader design effort Assist in the design of buildings varying in size, uses, and complexity Work under the guidance of senior team members Prepare construction drawings and the development of structural systems with a variety of materials Prepare calculations to justify structural designs Perform construction administration tasks, coordinate with construction professionals, perform site visits, review shop drawings, and answer RFI’s Perform feasibility studies and conditions assessments Establish project fees and track costs to maintain budgets and profitability Track project schedules to meet design team commitments and exceed Client expectations Review and provide quality assurance and control of deliverables Draft proposals and review contracts Minimum Qualifications 0-2 years of work experience in building structural engineering B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis/specialization in Structural Engineering F.E.
