About the Role:
SOLTECH is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong Vue.js and Node.js experience to build scalable, high-quality web applications. This role combines frontend and backend development with technical architecture, independent decision-making, and end-to-end ownership of features. You will work in a high-autonomy engineering environment, collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop reliable applications, improve existing systems, and establish engineering standards. The role also emphasizes AI-assisted software development, with opportunities to use modern AI tools and contribute to AI-enabled products. This position is remote, but candidates must be based in Atlanta, Georgia. Third-party candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack features from initial concept through production.
Develop modern frontend applications using Vue.js, with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainable component architecture.
Build scalable backend APIs and services using Node.js.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
Improve application reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Make independent technical decisions and take ownership of systems and delivery outcomes.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide engineering standards and best practices.
Evaluate and adopt modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding workflows.
Use sound judgment when applying AI-generated code and help teammates adopt AI tools effectively and responsibly.
Build and support applications in AWS environments using cloud-native services and containerized development workflows.
Contribute to continuous improvement across architecture, code quality, testing, and software delivery practices.
Required Qualifications5–8+ years of professional software development experience in production environments.
Strong experience developing modern Vue.js applications, including Composition API, component architecture, state management tools such as Pinia or Vuex, and reusable UI patterns.
Strong backend development experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or Fastify.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Experience with service-oriented or microservices architectures.
Experience building event-driven or asynchronous application workflows.
Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
Experience with ORM or query libraries such as Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize, or Knex.
Experience using Redis for caching, session management, pub/sub messaging, or performance optimization.
Ability to independently design, implement, and ship full-stack features.
Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS environments.
Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Lambda, or related cloud-native services.
Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
Understanding of distributed systems, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and improve engineering workflows.
Comfort working with command-line tools, Docker environments, and AWS-hosted infrastructure.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and balance delivery speed with quality and scalability.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make technical decisions in ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS services such as EventBridge, Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, or CloudWatch.
- Experience building and supporting applications on EC2-based infrastructure.
- Experience implementing Redis caching strategies and performance optimizations.
- Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Vue ecosystem tools such as Nuxt, Vite, and Pinia.
- Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud
- Formation, or AWS CDK.Experience building AI-enabled applications or integrating AI services into production systems.
- Experience working in an environment that actively uses AI-assisted software development tools.
