Project Manager (Madison Industrial Services Team)

Project ManagerMadison Industrial Services Team, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Management Department in Barnhardt, MO. This is a great opportunity to get involved in interesting and challenging design projects for clients in various industries. ResponsibilitiesSupport the Operations Manager with the execution of all aspects of the project including managing the staff, providing vision and strategic leadership, monitoring project schedules and budgets, evaluating project productivity and quality and directing the complete technical operations of the project. Direct and manage the activities of Project Engineers, Project Assistants and support personnel in the planning, scheduling, design quality and execution of projects. Assume full responsibility for the successful execution of each assigned project for schedule compliance, budget compliance, and scope and quality of deliverables. Build relationships and coordinate with the client and project personnel. Ensure the client's input and job requirements are adequately addressed and implemented consistently within the contractual requirements. Organize and supervise the implementation of project management systems and corporate quality systems. Maintain a documentation file, accurately describing all commercial, technical and financial correspondence. Prepare and evaluate monthly progress reports; describing the schedule, manpower expenditures and work scope for accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Ensure invoices are processed timely and accurately. Act as a liaison between the client and the accounting department on outstanding invoices over 90 days old. Identify and document that change orders are being processed in a timely fashion where additional work is identified beyond original scope. Develop new business opportunities as a by-product of relationship with clients. Participate in business development meetings. Plan and identify upcoming tasks, potential problem areas, technical information, staffing priorities and identify solutions where necessary. Responsible to maintain proper staff levels to meet project requirements. Actively recruit and train personnel for project as necessary. Develop, coach and track employee skill level in technical and work management areas. Develops project proposals, proposal scopes of work, and budgets. Develop and present Project Reports for clients. Principal client contact for major accounts and manage multiple customers simultaneously. Performs field walk downs and data collection. Position necessitates field activities, some climbing, and occasional travel. Other duties as assigned RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering or construction management. 10+ years of experience in the power generation field related to project management. Someone who lives within a 150 mile radius from Hobart, Missouri, and willing to relocate near the Mid-America Office. Be capable of traveling to job-site outside of St Louis. Most work is centralized in the Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois area. Occasionally will travel to clients that live outside of the Midwest area. Must be able to support office and field-related requirements on a project. Additionally, work overtime and weekends based on project needs. Overtime varies from 2 to 10 weeks. Experience applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Power Plant and Industrial Experience Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal, and Written) Complex Problem Solving (STEM) PMP Certification is a plus Critical Thinking Attention to Detail Problem Sensitivity Information Ordering Judgment and Decision Making Proficient with Process Engineering Computer Software Strong desire to learn QualificationsPhysical demands include communicating in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position may include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel toe work boots. Work environment includes an office, operating plant or warehouse. In a trailer or building on construction sites. At operating plants and construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
