Our client is a manufacturing facility. The forklift/material handleris responsible for load/unload, and moving of materials. Work in process between areas using forklift. Assist operators in keeping presses and equipment running safely and efficiently. Provides back up coverage for receiving clerk responsibilities.Responsibilities Of a Production Operator/Forklift IncludesFollows all company safety policies.Locates and distributes materials or containers to specified production areas according to production schedule and work orders to ensure limited down time.Ensures raw/ finished materials are stocked in designated areas.Examines documentation on containers; ensures proper labeling.Operates various machinery continuouslyEmpties and rakes scrap bins at presses.Band stainless skids from pressesUnloads, loads and stacks materials using forklift truck.Operates forklift truck using safe operating procedures.Ensures forklift truck meets operational specifications through daily routine checks.Inspects incoming shipments for damage prior to unloading truck.Signs BOL, packing slips, and put in designated areas.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements Of a Production Operator/ForkliftBasic mechanical ability.Ability to complete necessary paperwork through basic math, reading and writing skills.Ability to obtain forklift license.Ability to work independentlyAbility to live and move up to 35lbs.General knowledge of various metal stamping equipment.Previous forklift experience with propane forklifts.For immediate consideration, our Greenville Branch can be called at 864-509-6920.
