Benefits (Full-Time)$7,000 Sign-on Bonus for full-time positions.Opportunities for career growth and advancement into leadership roles.401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.Generous time off including vacation, six holidays, one personal day, and sick leave that starts accruing from day one.Life insurance and both short-term and long-term disability coverage.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, along with Health Savings Accounts.Position OverviewThe Occupational Therapist (OT) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.Education, Experience, and Licensure RequirementsMust be NBCOT certified upon hiring; renewal is optional thereafter.Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).Currently registered or licensed in the relevant state, with an active license in good standing throughout employment.Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience in a post-acute care or similar environment.CPR certification required upon hiring or to be obtained during orientation; must remain current throughout employment.Specific Job ResponsibilitiesEngage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.Collaborate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively address patient needs.Exhibit proper body mechanics consistently.Make independent decisions when necessary.Knowledgeable about practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in a post-acute care facility.Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others.Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.Adhere to organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.Essential FunctionsFollow occupational therapy treatment plans for patients, focusing on activities of daily living.Establish, assess, and adjust realistic, measurable, and functional goals.Supervise and evaluate care provided by Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), Rehabilitation Aides, and students.Document care accurately and in a timely manner.Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary.Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance.Employ reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations.Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during work hours.Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
