Accounting Analyst
Principal Responsibilities:
Prepares and maintains pro-forma financial modeling including forecasting comparisons and projection analysis.
Create interactive reports in PowerBI for operations, accounting, and leadership teams.
Oversees month-end close process by coordinating with accounting team to ensure proper cutoff and accurate and timely reporting.
Reviews monthly reconciliation schedules for prepaids, accruals, and intercompany transactions and approves general journal entries as prepared by the Staff Accountant(s).
Monitors trending of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure proper transaction coding and application against budgets.
Reviews monthly consolidated financial statements and prepares monthly reporting package for leadership and external entities.
Suggests business and accounting processes and procedures improvements and assists with communication, training, and implementation of those processes and procedures.
Supports Accounting Operations as necessary.
Performs additional assignments/functions as assumed through personal initiative or direction from leadership.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
At least five years’ experience in Accounting of related field
Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
Ability to use PowerBI and build reports
Ability to read and analyze financial reports
Ability to work in fully integrated ERP system (Procore/Acumatica preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
