Duties/Responsibilities: Assist with the installation of multi-family electrical services (meter banks) with the current NEC code. Assist with pulling lateral feeder wire from transformers to meter banks. Assist with installing raceways and pulling wire from meter banks to all interior panels of the multi-family buildings. Must be able to assist with adding ground to the building with a grounding rod using a hammer drill. Digging to install pipes up to 3 ft deep for lateral pipes. Required Skills/Abilities: Must be willing to learn hot to use specialty tools- Jack Hammer, Tugger Machine, Hammer/Chipping Drill, Generator. Willing to learn to scale prints and properly read prints. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Willing to learn the electrical knowledge pertaining to installation of electrical services for multi-family units. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be willing to learn basic electrical knowledge. Must be willing to learn basic construction safety knowledge. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, crouching, lifting, digging and climbing ladders. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to work in all outdoor/garage environments - i.e. heat, rain, dirt, etc. Must be able to use hand and power tools for extended periods of time. Safety and You: Must wear proper work shoes or boots while on the job site. Must wear all PPE required while on the job site. Must inspect all power tools daily or prior to use. Must ask a manager for any PPE needed or in need of replacement (i.e. gloves, glasses, ear plugs).
