SolarWinds Engineer

Trace3 is on the hunt for a Network Engineer with SolarWinds experience. *Job Description* As a SolarWinds Network Engineer at [Your Company], you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SolarWinds-based network monitoring and management system. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. *Key Responsibilities* *SolarWinds Deployment*: Install, configure, and maintain SolarWinds products, including Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Server & Application Monitor (SAM), and Network Configuration Manager (NCM). *Network Monitoring*: Monitor network performance and health using SolarWinds to proactively identify and resolve network issues, bottlenecks, and anomalies. *Alerting and Reporting*: Set up alerts and notifications in SolarWinds to respond to critical network events and generate reports for management and stakeholders. *Network Optimization*: Analyze SolarWinds data to identify opportunities for network optimization, capacity planning, and performance improvements. *Troubleshooting*: Investigate and troubleshoot network incidents, working closely with the network operations team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. *Security*: Ensure the security of the SolarWinds environment, implementing best practices to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. *Documentation*: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, SolarWinds settings, and standard operating procedures. *Collaboration*: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, system engineers, and security professionals, to ensure seamless network operations. *Vendor Management*: Manage vendor relationships related to SolarWinds products, including software updates and support. *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Proven experience as a SolarWinds Network Engineer or similar role. * Strong expertise in deploying and configuring SolarWinds solutions. * Solid knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. * Experience with network security best practices. * Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Relevant certifications (e.g., SolarWinds Certified Professional) is a plus.
