Medical Billing Associate

Our client is an established, multi-specialty primary care medical group with a long-standing tenure, located in the city of Thousand Oaks, offering general practice. We are searching for a bright and diligent Medical Biller to join our client’s office. Pay: 25 per hour Location: Thousand Oaks, CA. Status: Temp to Hire As the Medical Biller, you will be responsible for supporting the daily billing and insurance follow-up activities. This includes, but is not limited to: Preparing, reviewing, and submitting medical claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid Verifying patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility Reviewing and correcting claim denials, rejections, and underpayments Following up with insurance carriers on unpaid or delayed claims Posting insurance and patient payments accurately Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies and coding issues Communicating with patients regarding billing questions, statements, and payment arrangements Maintaining accurate patient and billing records in the practice management system Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and company policies Collaborating with front office, coding, and clinical teams to resolve billing issues Our client is looking for someone highly detail-oriented and someone who wishes to grow with them. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Keep in mind that you may be asked to work overtime on occasion. This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy: 1–3 years of medical billing experience, preferably in a Medical Office, Physician’s Office or a Hospital setting. You have a high school diploma or a higher level of education. You possess a working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding. You are familiar with insurance billing guidelines. You are experienced using medical billing software You possess a strong attention to detail and organizational skills You can multi-task when needed.
