Integrates and aligns Mission and Ministry objectives with campus master planning and participates in decision-making as a member of the campus leadership team. Develops the annual Christian Service Plan in conjunction with the CEO. Prepares, coordinates, and follows up on Mission Integrated Peer Review visits. Collaborates with HR to integrate Mission into new hire orientation, staff re-orientation, and ongoing HR functions. Supervises the Manager of Chaplains, ensuring excellence in meeting standards, staff recruitment, assessment, development, and integration into the mission culture. Manages and participates in the delivery of certified and clinically integrated spiritual care to all patients, demonstrating the tangible difference such care makes within faith-based healthcare. Coordinates and supports the clinical ministry of chaplains to patients, including unit assignments, daily ministry, scheduling, and coverage. Recruits, leads, and inspires Spiritual Ambassadors to perform roles and maximize impact, integrating their ministry within the campus life and supporting specific initiatives. Establishes and coordinates spiritual support follow-up for physicians and integrates the mission into the physician culture. Ensures that spiritual care initiatives support Patient Experience goals and collaborates with the Patient Experience team to provide spiritual foundations for all initiatives. Builds connections and trust with local congregations and community partners, representing administrative leadership at designated meetings and fostering community relationships. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively in both large and small group setting at different levels of the organization and in public settings. [Required]Detail orientated with strong critical thinking, organizational, planning and customer relations skills. [Required]Results driven with demonstrated ability to drive, promote and create a mission driven culture of service excellence. [Required]Demonstrated track record in effectively and strategically recruiting volunteer chaplains and developing pastoral care initiatives that help enhance patient, guest, physician and staff experience. [Required]Demonstrated knowledge of strategic and financial/budget planning and management. [Required]Ability to effectively delegate, multi-task, and manage conflicting priority is essential. [Required]Ability to function in demanding, stressful and fast-paced environment. [Required]Skilled in crisis intervention. Highly adaptable and skilled in de-escalation and intervention of emotionally charged situations. [Required]Computer skills and proficiency in MSOffice, and EMR applications. [Required]Able to communicate effectively in additional languages [Preferred]Education:* Master's [Required]Field of Study:Master of Divinity degree or other graduate theological degree (72-hour minimum) such as: pastoral care, spiritual care, or related field.Minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral EducationFour-units or residency in Clinical Pastoral EducationWork Experience:5+ management experience in an acute care setting in a medium to large size hospital setting.
