Diesel Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and regulations
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to complete tasks efficiently
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel injection, exhaust systems, and cooling systems
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Experience with welding and soldering techniques for metal fabrication
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems for heavy equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
