Assistant Manager/Direct Care Professional
Assistant Program ManagerThis role will work side by side with our part-time Program Manager, providing direct support in the coordination and oversight of our assisted living program. The Assistant Program Manager plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations by assisting with staff supervision, resident care coordination, and compliance efforts. We are looking for a highly organized team player who collaborates closely with the Program Manager and contributes to a positive, well-run environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Core duties include, but are not limited to:Assist the Program Manager in coordinating and following up with all parties involved in residents' care (phone, care conferences, email)Support the management of residents' schedules and weekly appointmentsAssist in supervising in-home staff and reinforcing expectationsHelp train and guide team members in personal care, aging support, and behavioral support strategiesSupport tracking and coordination of staff training and certificationsHelp ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and agency policiesMonitor completion of staff assignments and report concerns to the Program ManagerParticipate in team meetings with staff and residents; may lead meetings as delegatedAssist with disciplinary and grievance processes under the direction of the Program ManagerIdentify and report concerns related to abuse, neglect, or financial exploitationSupport person-centered care practices that honor each resident's individualityAssist with oversight of household operations, including cleanliness and regulatory complianceHelp manage staff schedules and contribute to on-call coverage as assignedProvide direct care support as neededCarry out additional responsibilities as delegated by the Program Manager or Residential Coordinator.Training Requirements:Program Manager TrainingPerson-Centered TrainingMedication Administration TrainingHousing Policy & Procedures TrainingCore Competencies:Strong organizational and follow-through skillsCollaborative mindset with the ability to support leadership directionEffective communication and interpersonal skillsSound judgment and problem-solving abilityAbility to handle sensitive situations with professionalismFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain confidentiality and professional boundariesProficiency with standard business and computer softwareQualifications:Understanding of state and federal regulations (or willingness to learn and apply)Prior experience in personal care services or a related field preferredPrevious leadership or supervisory experience helpful but not requiredBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO).401(k) Plan: Up to 3.5% employer match (eligible after 1,000 hours in first year).Ongoing support from RNs and managers.Opportunity to grow with a team that values YOU.
