This senior-level position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional nuclear compliance and cutting-edge digital tools, helping to define how compliance is managed in the modern nuclear industry. You'll work with NRC regulations, quality assurance programs, and advanced digital systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements including 10 CFR Part 50, 10 CFR Part 52, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and ASME NQA-1 standardsLead Complex Compliance Initiatives: Oversee complex engineering analyses, procurement projects, and regulatory compliance programs across multiple project phasesQuality Assurance Program Management: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs in accordance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1 requirements, including audits, surveillance, document control, procurement oversight, and nonconformance reporting10 CFR Part 21 Compliance: Manage defect identification and evaluation, ensure proper reporting of defects and noncompliance, oversee deviation reporting, and maintain supplier 10 CFR 21 program oversightRegulatory Interface & Licensing Support: Review modifications for impact on licensing and regulatory compliance issues, provide documentation for license applications, and ensure conformance to NRC Regulatory GuidesTechnical Review & Approval: Serve as technical reviewer and approver for engineering documents, design changes, and procurement specifications to ensure regulatory complianceInspection & Verification: Monitor compliance with construction activities, conduct design reviews and supplier audits, and verify proper implementation of QA processesTraining & Mentorship: Contribute to training program development, provide technical guidance to project teams, and represent TNC in client and industry forumsDigital Compliance Tools: Champion the adoption of digital engineering and compliance management tools within Nuclear OS to streamline verification and documentation processesRequired Qualifications7-12 years of experience in nuclear compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory affairsProven track record of leading complex compliance initiatives and regulatory interactionsExperience with nuclear power plant construction, licensing, or operationsDeep understanding of NRC regulatory structure and processes, including 10 CFR Part 50, Part 52, and Part 21 requirementsComprehensive knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility ApplicationsExperience implementing licensing basis and design basis concepts, NRC inspection and enforcement processesProficiency in quality verification, inspection techniques, acceptance criteria, and audit methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication abilities for regulatory documentation and interfaceAbility to work independently and lead technical initiativesExperience conducting design reviews and supplier auditsDemonstrated capability to mentor and develop junior staffPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or related technical fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtainExperience with NRC licensing applications and interactionsFamiliarity with digital engineering tools and compliance management systemsBackground in corrective action programs and root cause analysisExperience with 10 CFR 73.54 cybersecurity requirementsKnowledge of procurement quality assurance and supplier oversightExperience with nonconformance identification, documentation, and resolutionBenefitsCompetitive compensation packages401k with company matchMedical, dental, vision plansGenerous vacation policy, plus holidaysEstimated Starting Salary RangeThe estimated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 - $173,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis.
