Position SummaryThe Lead Maintenance Worker performs and oversees a variety of maintenance-related tasks.Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pmPosition ResponsibilitiesEnsure work is accomplished in a professional manner and conforms with work order requirements, specifications, and building codesCompute material requirements for specific jobsMaintain adequate shop stock levels and requisition tools, equipment, materials, and supplies for accomplishing shop assignmentsAssign duties to staff and provide routine guidancePerform the duties of a maintenance workerPerform duties as a member of the Fire BrigadePerform other related duties as assignedExperience & Educational BackgroundA High School Diploma5 years of recent experience in a variety of building trades is requiredConstruction industry experience is preferredA valid state driver’s license is requiredSkills & CompetenciesMust possess the strength and dexterity needed to perform the job and the physical ability to move equipment as necessaryMust adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the UniversityMust be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills, and the ability to interact with building/office occupants effectivelyMust be able to effectively provide direction to lower-level staffRespirator Fit Testing may be requiredSalary RangeSalary Range: Grade 91199 New Hire rate:$31.07 and 1199 One Year of Service rate $31.70About UsYeshiva University is dedicated to academic excellence, intellectual exploration, and the advancement of timeless values that shape and impact lives.
