Join us as a CT Technologist and take advantage of the career development opportunities available at our community hospital, situated along the beautiful Adirondack Coast in Northern New York.JOB DESCRIPTION:The CT Technologist will conduct CT scans in various environments as directed by licensed healthcare providers, adhering to ethical standards and hospital policies, as well as relevant New York State regulations. This role also involves assisting with all functions within the Radiology Department.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Must possess a valid license from the New York State Department of Health.Must be registered with the ARRT (Radiographer) and Cat Scan (CT) certifications.Active status in both certifications is required.A minimum of three years of CT experience in a hospital environment is necessary, excluding training time.Certification from the New York State Department of Health to administer IV contrast must be obtained within two months of completing the orientation period.On-call responsibilities in CT will be required as per the union agreement.Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with anxious patients and their families in a compassionate manner.Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with physicians and staff in various situations.The ability to think and act swiftly is crucial for providing high-quality care in stressful circumstances.BLS certification is required (or must be obtained within three months).WHY JOIN OUR ORGANIZATION?Few careers can provide the ideal balance that we offer here.We operate in a technologically advanced environment, recognized throughout the region for our healthcare excellence.
