DescriptionJob SummaryCommercial HVAC/R Service Technician (Non-Exempt). You'll run preventive maintenance and service calls on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across Houston and the surrounding areas. Day to day means diagnosing and repairing equipment in the field, completing PM tasks on schedule, and keeping clients up and running. This is a hands-on field role. No management responsibilities, just solid work on real equipment with the support to do it right.You should be comfortable working on both HVAC and refrigeration, reading equipment specs, and communicating clearly with customers about what you found and what you fixed.RequirementsDuties and ResponsibilitiesRun preventive maintenance and service calls on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systemsDiagnose equipment issues through observation, testing, and proper startup proceduresDisassemble and reassemble HVAC/R equipment to troubleshoot and perform repairsOperate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to service mechanical systemsComplete electronic documentation of service tasks, materials used, and labor hoursExplain work performed and service charges to customers clearly and professionallyMaintain inventory stock on your service vehicleReconcile work orders, vendor packing slips, and weekly timesheetsEducation And Experience2 to 5 years of commercial HVAC/R experienceWorking knowledge of both HVAC and refrigeration systemsUniversal EPA CertificationTDLR registration (registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to read and interpret equipment specs and basic plansAbility to pass drug screening and background checkPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and kneeling; lift and carry up to 50 lbsMust be able to access and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all weather, indoors and outdoors, which may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, and crawlingVision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focusAn Equal Opportunity EmployerWe do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by law or regulation.
