Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in San Francisco, CA

Step into a dynamic role as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, supporting students' growth and achievement in an engaging educational setting near San Francisco, CA. As a vital member of the team, you'll help elementary students develop effective communication skills, working closely alongside a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver tailored interventions. This full-time, in-person contract position is available for the current school year, with a weekly Monday through Friday schedule. The starting pay for this opportunity is $42 per hour, commensurate with your credentials and experience.Key Qualifications:Current and active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant licenseBachelor's Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing, or Communication DisordersExperience as a paraprofessional or within a school environment preferredFamiliarity with articulation/language therapy techniques is a plusStrong interpersonal abilities and effective communication skillsEagerness to learn and implement new therapy strategiesPositive, collaborative approach to working with students and staffRole Responsibilities:Support implementation of intervention programs designed by the supervising SLPObtain case histories, document observations, and assist with assessmentsAdminister and score progress monitoring tools as directed by the SLPWork directly with students and occasionally collaborate with parents and staffParticipate in IEP conferences, meetings, and training sessions as neededPrepare documentation to support evaluations, IEPs, and progress notesEscort students to and from therapy or assessment locationsTake on additional related duties as assignedEnjoy a competitive rate starting at $42 per hour, as well as eligibility for comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), travel stipends if applicable, and guaranteed hours for both direct and indirect services.
