Process technician

Process Technician (Plastics)We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Process Technician with experience in plastics manufacturing to support and optimize production processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly on the production floor, troubleshooting equipment, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and optimizing plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, and/or extrusion. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure efficient, high-quality output.Key Responsibilities:Set up, start up, and optimize plastic processing equipment (injection molding, blow molding, and/or extrusion)Monitor machine performance and adjust process parameters to maintain quality and efficiencyTroubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtimePerform mold/tooling changes, machine setups, and material changeoversEnsure product quality by conducting inspections and making necessary process adjustmentsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce scrapDocument process parameters, standard work, and operating proceduresWork closely with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical issuesFollow all safety, quality, and production standardsQualifications:25+ years of experience in plastics manufacturingStrong understanding of plastic processing techniques and material behaviorExperience with machine setup, process optimization, and troubleshootingAbility to read and follow work instructions, prints, and process documentationBasic mechanical aptitude (hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment operation)Familiarity with continuous improvement practices (Lean, 5S, etc.) is a plusWillingness to work in a hands-on, fast-paced production environmentThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
