Job Title: Payroll, Reporting & Benefits SpecialistCompany: BBX Capital - https://bbxcapital.com/Location: Remote (Latin America)Role type: Full-Time as an Independent Contractor (Compensation in USD through Deel)Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Payroll, Reporting & Benefits Specialist to support our growing, multi-state workforce. This role will be responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 700 employees, managing payroll-related reporting, supporting benefits administration, and helping build strong reconciliation and compliance processes.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Paylocity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex payroll scenarios with precision and professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing & Administration Assist in processing bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for approximately 700 employees across multiple U.S. states. Ensure accurate submission of hourly employee time, one-off payments, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and complex pay scenarios. Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data prior to submission. Support corrections, off-cycle payrolls, and retroactive adjustments as needed. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Reporting & Reconciliation Run and analyze payroll, tax, benefits, and labor cost reports using Paylocity and internal systems. Assist in developing and maintaining a formal payroll reconciliation and audit process. Reconcile payroll registers, general ledger entries, benefit deductions, and tax filings. Identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve variances. Prepare recurring and ad-hoc management reports.Benefits Administration & Support Support enrollment, changes, terminations, and open enrollment processes. Maintain accurate benefit deductions and eligibility records. Coordinate with benefits providers and internal HR teams. Assist employees with benefits-related questions and documentation. Support compliance reporting (ACA, COBRA, etc.).Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate employee payroll and benefits records. Ensure proper handling of wage garnishments, deductions, and tax levies. Assist with audits, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries. Document payroll and reporting procedures and best practices.Process Improvement & Collaboration Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to improve payroll and benefits workflows. Help implement automation and quality control checks. Recommend system and process enhancements. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementations. Support onboarding and offboarding payroll processes.Qualifications5+ years of experience in payroll administration for multi-state employers.Hands-on experience using Paylocity.Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
