Foundry Equipment Maintenance - 2nd ShiftLocation: Syracuse, NYShift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM | Monday-FridayEmployment Type: Full-TimeWhat You'll DoDiagnose and correct electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical malfunctions on automated foundry production equipment. Analyze machine operation sequences to determine root causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer standards. Adjust, repair, alter, and pipe water, air, gas, oil, and related systems to meet foundry equipment specifications. Read and interpret shop orders, blueprints, schematics, operational manuals, and manufacturer specifications. Test equipment functionality after repairs to ensure proper operation. Detect and correct machine malfunctions; escalate complex or questionable issues to appropriate supervision. Generate and process shop orders as required. Locate, issue, and record parts, tools, materials, and equipment from the maintenance tool crib. Operate fork trucks as needed in the performance of job duties. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety rules, regulations, and prescribed procedures. Required (Basic) QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of:DC and AC electrical theoryPneumatic and hydraulic theory and applicationPlumbing and piping repair theory and practiceMachine repair theory, including close-tolerance assembly and fitsExperience using measuring instruments and diagnostic devices. Experience understanding the sequence and interrelationship of machine operations, including evaluation of pressure, flow, and dimensions. Strong electrical troubleshooting experience. Ability to work independently on second shift. Preferred QualificationsMinimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or journeyman-level equivalent. Forklift certification and hands-on experience. Prior experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment.
