Part-Time Childcare Transportation Driver

As a key member of our transportation team, you will utilize your driving expertise to provide dependable service that supports families and enhances their daily routines. Responsibilities Safely operate a designated vehicle, such as a minibus or shuttle, to transport children between designated locations, including schools, daycare centers, and activity sites Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, safety equipment, and cleanliness to ensure optimal operation Follow established routes and schedules precisely, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions to maintain punctuality Assist children with boarding and disembarking, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed at all times Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding transportation schedules or any delays Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs in compliance with company policies Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation, including those specific to transporting minors Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred but not required Prior experience in shuttle driving, school bus operation, or similar transportation roles is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge helpful for basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting minor issues Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles if required; familiarity with heavy equipment or specialized vehicles is a plus Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with children, parents, and team members Experience with route driving or delivery driver roles enhances your ability to manage schedules efficiently Knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting children and handling emergency situations effectively 4 hours a day (Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 8:30 am than 2:00 pm to 4 pm) Company van provided Join us in delivering safe and dependable transportation services that make a meaningful difference in children’s lives!
