Project Manager - M&A Experience
The primary responsibilities of Project Management include coordinating and completion of assigned projects, overseeing all aspects of project planning, and execution, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and summarizing project progress (scope, schedule, budget). The Project Manager also regularly prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects.
Managing people
No direct reports.
Works closely with Dev Managers, Product Managers, and Team members to ensure success on project.
Meet with teams in daily standups to review the backlog of work
Project Management
Accepts ultimate responsibility for the success or failure of assigned the projects
Schedule and conduct project meetings, design reviews, and post-project meetings
Manages and coordinates multiple priorities to accomplish projects and company goals
Business Development
Identifies opportunities and responds to requests for proposals from customers and the business development team
Assists in the gathering of preliminary customer requirements and defining the project scope
Identifies and addresses potential risks associated with proposed work and identifies technical solutions
Provides preliminary budget, milestones, and invoice schedules to Business Development
Coordinates contracts and Statements of Work
Project Planning
Captures customer requirements and works with them and the project team on creating a plan to accomplish each project
Solidifies, documents, and communicates customer requirements to the project team in an effective manner
Ensures that each plan developed includes a high-level schedule, a detailed list of tasks and a comprehensive budget
Ensures that project plans address safety, quality, and risk mitigation,
Project Execution
Involves the project team in critical aspects of the planning process to generate buy-in and ownership
Clearly communicates priorities and team member responsibilities
Trains and mentors team in job functions and project responsibilities
Identifies team member assignments, schedules, milestones, budgets, purchases, resource coordination, and safety and quality issues
Project Milestones
Defines, with the project team, each milestone with due dates and a set of deliverables
Ensures milestones adhere to the SMARTY principles (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Right Sized, Time-bound, and Yours)
Identifies and addresses issues related to root causes of missed milestones
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting or leading Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration activities, including coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning integration plans.
Ability to assess acquired company capabilities, processes, technologies, and risks to develop effective integration roadmaps.
Familiarity with change-management strategies to support teams through organizational, cultural, and system transitions during integration.
Experience collaborating with Finance, HR, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Business Development to onboard acquired teams, products, and technologies.
Skilled at preparing integration progress reports, identifying risks or delays, and maintaining alignment with executive leadership.
Understanding how to incorporate acquired product lines, technologies, and customer requirements into project schedules, plans, and budgets.
Essential Education & Work Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems or technical discipline.
At least 1 year of experience cumulative as a Project Analyst/Planner/Manager or related experience in software, hardware, or other related industry.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle, and problem-solving
Demonstrates success in leading and managing of people in a team-based environment
Experience with products in hardware and software development industry.
Preferred experience in automation or robotics.
May be required to travel 10% to 25% of the time
