Join us.Position Title: Hardware EngineerLocation: Irvine, CAWork Arrangement: On-SitePosition SummaryThe Hardware Engineer in this position will perform assigned electrical engineering tasks including circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, wire harness design, electromechanical/electrical system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.Some of the platforms you might be working on include;UltraLEAPRequired Duties And ResponsibilitiesWork with the team to design and build subsystem/hardware/software for our aircraft systemsPrepare and create schematics, engineering drawings, test plans/proceduresCollaborate with mechanical, GNC, manufacturing, aerodynamic, procurement, quality assurance, and project/program management teamsDemonstrate and encourage adherence to best practices and standard proceduresRequired Skills/QualificationsProven understanding of Electrical Engineering principlesDemonstrated skills in troubleshooting, validating/testing, and analyzing subsystems/systemsExperience in documenting designs and analyses with written reportsAbility to design using CAD software such as AltiumProven communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Skills/QualificationsExperience in designing robotic and/or aircraft systemsUAV experience highly desiredHands-on experience with microcontrollers and firmware/softwareExperience in small to medium sized teams in an R&D environmentFamiliar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standardsEducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3 - 5+ years of progressively responsible industry experienceClearance Level Required: No.Export Control / ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.Travel Required: Less Than 10%Working ConditionsThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Must have the ability to stop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.Work Authorization RequirementCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 annuallySalary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
