As a Senior Machine Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated machines and equipment for the baking industry.
Your day-to-day tasks will include conceptualizing, prototyping, and validating machine designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This is a full-time on-site role where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative automation technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in machine design, including concept development, 3D modeling, and simulation
Very Strong Mechatronics Background
Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Packaging Equipment background a must.
Knowledge of machine controls and automation systems
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials
Experience in the baking industry or food processing equipment design is a plus.
Must be able to work independently and part of a team.
Must understand the need for a sense of urgency
Good attendance and ability to work overtime.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be comfortable in an office environment & shop environment.
Must be detail-oriented in design/job release to manufacturing.
Responsibilities Include:
Design new products and modify existing designs.
Assist in resolution of Manufacturing, Assembly, Outsourcing, Warranty and Rectification issues.
Provides guidance to manufacturing and assembly during initial new product build.
Actively research and analyze competitive offerings.
Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, required resources, cost effectiveness, and market demand for new products.
Supports the development of owners’ manuals for all new products.
Supports or owns special project initiatives as directed by VP of Engineering.
Listens to and resolves assembly/manufacturing requests or concerns.
Must be flexible with responsibilities/projects/duties as these may change based on loading.
Assists in creation and maintenance of quality standards on all new products.
Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner while ensuring documentation is in place.
Provides support/documentation for projects to successfully enter mainstream manufacturing.
Supports the development of Features, Benefits, Spec.’s, and various Marcom for Sales as it relates to new products.
Takes a proactive approach to new product development and equipment upgrades.
Responds quickly to resolve Warranty and Rectification issues as requested by VP of Engineering.
Through leadership, instills a pride of “quality of execution” in the daily performance of the Mechanical Engineering Team.
Maintains a working knowledge of modern technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.

Salary: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
