Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with experience in AI and Generative AI to build scalable backend systems integrated with modern AI capabilities. This role involves designing robust microservices, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), and developing intelligent, data-driven applications. The ideal candidate combines strong backend engineering expertise with hands-on experience in AI/GenAI technologies, including LLM APIs, vector databases, and cloud-based AI services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backend Development (Java)
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- Build and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIsEnsure code quality through clean architecture, modular design, and best practices
- Optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and performance
- Work with distributed systems and event-driven architecturesAI / Generative AI Integration Integrate Large Language Models using APIs such as:
- OpenAIMicrosoft Azure OpenAI Service
- Google Vertex AIImplement prompt engineering, function calling, and tool-based interactions
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using embeddings
- Work with vector databases such as:
- PineconeFAISSAzure AI SearchBuild scalable AI-powered backend services Cloud & DevOps (Azure Preferred)
- Deploy applications on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Container Apps, AKS)
- Containerize applications using DockerBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
- Database & Data Management
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases
- Design data models for AI-driven applications
- Handle structured and unstructured data pipelines
- Optimize data access and storage strategies
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and backend design
- Hands-on experience with LLMs / Generative AI integration
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and RAG pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Python (FastAPI) for AI services
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor
- Knowledge of AI security and responsible AI practices
