Machine Shop Manager

Overview Guidex Group is seeking a highly experienced Machine Shop Manager on behalf of our client, a precision manufacturing company. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity, and the ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operations, combined with proven leadership skills to drive production efficiency and team success. Job Summary Seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead our team. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in CNC and milling machine programming, setup, and operation—with strong working knowledge of SRFCAM and other CAM systems. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the machine shop to meet production goals Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Train, supervise, and lead a team of machinists Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards Oversee machine maintenance schedules and troubleshoot issues Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in CNC/milling machine setup and programming Advanced proficiency in SRFCAM; experience with other CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) a plus Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Solid problem-solving and production planning abilities Knowledge of tooling, speeds/feeds, and material characteristics Why Work with Guidex Group?
