The ideal candidate should possess a wide range of skills and are eager to promote YAI's mission of supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, love, work, and learn at our Brentwood & Coram Day Habs in the community. About the Position: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work closely with people of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Depending on the supports needed, DSPs may work in a person’s home, in their family’s home, in a YAI residence, at a day habilitation center, or out in the community. Qualifications and Requirements: · High School Diploma or GED · Work or life experience in the I/DD field is a plus but not mandatory · Ability to complete three to five weekdays of paid New York State-mandated OPWDD training during normal business hours · Tuberculosis (TB) testing is mandatory for most positions (and is provided free of charge by our partnership with CityMD) · Driver's license required for majority of locations Schedule: Full-Time or Part Time - Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm Benefit Highlights: · On Demand Pay Available - Work today, get paid today!
