Project SchedulerPosition Description & Qualifications If you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the Navy - Serco has a great opportunity for you! Serco is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Project Scheduler to support complex undersea warfare programs. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated master schedules (IMS) across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with program objectives, milestones, and Department of Defense (DoD) standards. This role requires close collaboration with program managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate schedule forecasting, risk identification, and performance tracking. This position is contingent upon the availability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DoD Secret Security Clearance. In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for multiple programs and projects
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and functional leads to define scope, timelines, and dependencies
Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and what-if scenario planning
Track project progress and provide variance analysis against baseline schedules
Support program reviews, including milestone and gate reviews
Ensure compliance with DoD scheduling best practices and standards (e.g., EVMS where applicable)
Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Prepare and present schedule reports and dashboards to leadership
Maintain data integrity within scheduling tools and ensure consistent configuration control
To be successful in this role, you will:
The ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DoD Secret Security Clearance
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field
Some experience in project scheduling or project controls
Proficiency with scheduling tools such as:
Microsoft Project
Primavera P6
Strong understanding of:
Critical Path Method (CPM)
Schedule risk analysis
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) principles
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
The ability to travel up to 10%
Additional desired experience and skills:
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Navy programs
Familiarity with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
Experience working with engineering or R&D programs
Certification(s) such as:
PMP (Project Management Professional)
PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional)
Experience with risk management tools and techniques
