Material Handler - 3rd Shift
As a Material Handler, you will support the development of cutting-edge products from concept through production by ensuring materials and components are accurately received, organized, and delivered to the production floor. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to play a critical role in delivering high-quality products, this role could be perfect for you!Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse, including moving materials safely using pallet jacksAccurately read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shippedAccurately identifying items based on order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity is selectedPack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirementsEnsure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transitCoordinate the shipment process by preparing shipping labels, verifying addresses, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completeCollaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packagesConduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepancies, and log required quality verifications using torque testers, Hipot equipment, and hydrostatic testersUtilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as neededWork effectively as a team to achieve daily shipping goalsTake on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and project milestonesAccurately read pick tickets and receiving documents, or follow oral instructions to ascertain required materialsAccurately identify items based on receiving specifications and ensure the correct quantities are selectedPick all received materials onto appropriate carts based on manufacturing location or receiving requirementsEnsure materials are packed or staged effectively to avoid damage during put‑away or picking processesCoordinate the receiving process by preparing receiving labels, verifying product descriptions, and ensuring all required documentation is collected and entered systematically.Collaborate with vendor carriers to facilitate the timely arrival of incoming materials.Conduct visual inspections of products during receiving to identify any defects or discrepancies.QualificationsAbility to multitask with attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPossess a strong work ethic and self-motivated attitudeAbility to lift up to 30 lbs. on a consistent basisAbility to collaborate and work in a team environmentStrong communication skillsAbility to read and comprehend written work instructions.Ability to read and comprehend receiving documents and follow written or verbal receiving instructionsAbility to conduct repetitive movements of lightweight parts (up to 30 pounds/part)Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAble to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative mannerAdequately read and follow written instructions from an operation manual
