Installation Technician
Position SummaryThe Service Technician installs, services, and modifies Division 8 and Division 10 material including but not limited to commercial door openings, related hardware, bathroom partitions and accessories. This role performs onsite welding and repairs, delivers high-quality customer service, and represents the company professionally while working in a variety of field environments.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall and service commercial steel frames, doors (steel/wood), hardware, and access control systemsInstall bathroom partitions and related division 10 accessoriesPerform onsite welding and metal modifications on doors and framesTroubleshoot, repair, and retrofit existing openings and componentsComplete service calls within scheduled timeframes with minimal disruption to customer sitesDocument work and update service requests accuratelyCommunicate with Service Manager, Project Managers, Sales, and customers regarding job status or issuesMaintain a clean, organized company vehicle and toolsFollow all safety, PPE, OSHA, and company policiesAssist in production shops and special projects when not onsiteParticipate in training and certification programs to expand product and industry knowledgeQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of carpentry, metal, or service technician experienceWelding and metal fabrication experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read drawings and follow written, visual, and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license, DOT certification, and insurability requiredWillingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings/weekendsOSHA 10 preferred or obtained after hireAbility to lift 50 lbs overhead and meet physical demands of the roleGeneralBenefits: Medical and Dental Insurance, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance, as well as Voluntary Benefits, HSA, FSA, and Employee contribution to 401k. *Employer match, up to 4%. This role is classified as safety-sensitive, and as such, is subject to a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. Drug screening will be conducted in accordance with federal regulations, including but not limited to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and applicable state and local laws. A positive drug test or failure to comply with the screening process will result in disqualification from employment.
