Cardiothoracic Surgeon Ascension St. Vincent is actively seeking a board certified Cardiac Surgeon to join our team in the Indianapolis Indiana location. Responsibilities include all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, with an emphasis on cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type. What You Will Do Ascension St. Vincent is actively seeking a board certified Cardiac Surgeon to join our team in the Indianapolis Indiana location. Responsibilities include all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, with an emphasis on cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Highlights: Join our team of 5 established surgeons, 3 of which participate in heart transplant surgery. On-call schedules are rotated evenly amongst the group 1:4 for transplant call 1:6 for primary surgical call About Ascension St. Vincent Heart Failure program The largest Transplant & VAD program in the state Ranked #1 in Heart Transplant surgery outcomes. As a leader in heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support, our program has been accredited as a Center of Excellence and is certified by the Joint Commission. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
