FDOT Roadway Inspector / HNTB Inspector II

What We're Looking ForWe are seeking an CEI Roadway Inspector for current and future FDOT construction work in Central Florida. FDOT Asphalt, Concrete and Earthwork experience is a must. HNTB is looking to grow our local CEI inspection team. With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.What You'll DoObserves, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll NeedHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.What We PreferAt least 2 years of verifiable FDOT CEI experience in roadway construction.This position is ideally suited for local candidates in the area above due to the nature of the work.FDOT certifications (CTQP Asphalt I, CTQP Earthwork I, ACI Concrete Field Technician, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector I, CTQP Final Estimates I, Intermediate MOT)Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications.Ability to work with others, take direction, and communicate verbally and in writing.Willingness to learn.Additional InformationClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total RewardsClick here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteranVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.\#RWLocations:Kissimmee, FL (Celebration Blvd)Notice To Third-party AgenciesHNTB does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies.
