Job Description Mechanical Assembly / Crate BuilderOverview SummarySummit Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Assembly / Crate Builder to support production and shipping operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment. In this role, you will build wooden shipping crates, perform mechanical assembly, and ensure products are securely prepared for transport using hand and power tools.Job DetailsLocation: Coppell, TexasType: Contract-to-HirePay Range: $18/hourShift Options:2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday–Friday)Key ResponsibilitiesBuild wooden crates for shipping equipment and productsPerform mechanical assembly using hand and power toolsMeasure, cut, and assemble materials using a tape measure and toolsFollow blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions accuratelyInspect finished products to ensure quality and durabilityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSkills & ExperienceExperience using hand and power tools requiredAbility to accurately read and use a tape measureMechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic assembly processesExperience in manufacturing, assembly, or construction environments preferredReliable attendance and strong work ethicPreferred QualificationsExperience reading blueprints or technical drawingsBackground in woodworking, crating, or mechanical assemblyPrevious experience in a production or manufacturing settingWork EnvironmentHands-on manufacturing and warehouse environmentStanding, walking, and using tools throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbsExposure to wood materials, tools, and production equipmentRequired PPE may include steel-toed shoes and safety gear as assignedContract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term placement based on performanceWhy Join Summit Staffing?At Summit Staffing, we connect hardworking individuals with leading employers across logistics, manufacturing, and distribution.
