City of Auburn Part-Time Fire Fighter Auburn Fire Department The City of Auburn Fire Department is seeking dedicated, hard-working and self-motivated Part-Time Fire Fighters to join our team. The ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and be motivated to serve the citizens of Auburn. Applicant Pre-Requisites Must be 21 years of age US Citizenship Must be able to pass a criminal background and reference checks Must hold a valid Driver’s License and able to pass a Driver’s Record Check Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or an Associate’s Degree in fire science Must be able to pass a written exam, fear of heights and claustrophobia tests, and a timed ability course which is job specific Must be available to work 8, 12 or 24-hour shifts.
