Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Locum - NP/PA - Cardiovascular Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team! Our facility is a Level II Trauma Center located in the heart of Jackson, Michigan, and is known for its commitment to excellent patient care and program expansion. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in an inpatient/hospital-based setting, providing care to a diverse patient population.Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)Manage an average census of 8-12 patients, including vascular patients requiring neuro checks and post-CV surgery patientsPerform procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, and central venous catheter placementsAssist with CV surgery consults during weekend shiftsWork collaboratively with 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on day shift and 1 APP on night shiftMaintain a documentation system using Epic EMRQualifications: Board Certified (AANP or NCPA) REQUIREDValid Michigan License REQUIREDACLS and BLS certifications through AHA REQUIREDMinimum of 3 years of experience in acute care REQUIREDAcute Care training and certification REQUIREDLicense and Certification Requirements: ACLS certification REQUIREDCALS certification PREFERREDMichigan State License REQUIREDJoin us in the vibrant city of Jackson, Michigan, where you can enjoy a blend of urban amenities and natural beauty.
