Electronics Assembler
Job description:
*Job Summary*
We are seeking detail-oriented Electronic Assemblers to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will be responsible for assembling high-precision electronic components printed circuit boards (PCBs) in one of our various departments. *Full training is provided* – perfect for motivated individuals looking to start or grow a career in electronics.
*Departments Hiring*
* Conformal Coat (CC): applying thin coating to protect electronic components, masking and unmasking as needed to prevent components from receiving coating
* POST/Bonding: joining components, substrates, and assemblies using adhesives, tapes, or other bonding technologies
* Solder: hand soldering techniques ensure reliable connections and long-lasting results
* Surface Mount Technology (SMT): mounting electronic components directly on surface of PCB and inspection using Automated Optical Inspection (SMT-AOI) to ensure correct placement and solder quality – _NIGHT SHIFT for both SMT and SMT-AOI_
* Selective Solder: specialized technique used in PCB assembly to solder specific through-hole components while avoiding damage to SMT parts – _NIGHT SHIFT_
* Assembly: using hands to manually place electronic components onto a PCB
* Kitting: gather all components required to assemble component into one kit before sending off to be assembled
* BCA Work Cell: assembly, testing, inspection, and quality verification of electronic products
*Requirements*
* Excellent attendance
* Speak, read, write, and understand English well and strong communication skills
* Good eyesight and can read small print on circuit board and/or component and ability to distinguish between full range of colors on the color spectrum to work with electronic components, wires, and equipment
* Complete complex tasks exactly, accurately, and quickly
* Good manual dexterity
* Work well with others
* Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, walking, and carrying up to 50 lbs., repetitive use of body such as hands and wrists, bend and reach to move materials
* Able to tolerate machine noise levels (ear plugs are available)
*Essential Job Functions*
* Install electronic components correctly and efficiently
* Read and understand Assembly Documentation
* Read and understand part descriptions
* Log all defects found on data sheets
* Ensure, manage & verify physical inventory
* Follow ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and requirements
* Follow company and department safety and operating policies and procedures
