The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining iOS applications using modern Apple development technologies.The candidate should have a strong background in Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, Xcode, UI/UX development, persistent data storage, concurrency, operational queues, and software design patterns. The developer will be responsible for taking ownership of assigned application design and development tasks, integrating APIs, troubleshooting production issues, collaborating with business and technical teams, and contributing to technical documentation and code reviews.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, debug, and maintain iOS mobile applications using Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Xcode.Translate business and technical requirements into scalable mobile solutions.Integrate RESTful web services and APIs and handle/parse JSON with persistent data stores including Core Data and application architecture and design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MV, and Singleton.Utilize Grand Central Dispatch (GCD), concurrency, multithreading, and operational queues.Use Xcode and Instruments for development, profiling, troubleshooting, and performance with GitHub, Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry.IO, CI/CD pipelines, and dependency management tools.Utilize Swift Package Manager, Carthage, or comparable dependency managers.Collaborate with UI/UX teams and implement designs based on wireframes and functional requirements.Investigate and resolve application crashes, performance issues, defects, and reported production problems.Conduct unit testing, participate in code reviews, and maintain application quality.Provide technical documentation for application architecture, development processes, and implemented solutions.Assist other developers with technical challenges, coding issues, and troubleshooting.Work independently while taking ownership of assigned deliverables.Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members when required.Required QualificationsMinimum 18 months of professional iOS development experience.Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field.Strong hands-on experience with Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Xcode.Experience with Xcode Instruments and application performance analysis.Strong understanding of iOS application architecture and design with MVC, MVVM, MV, Singleton, GCD, concurrency, multithreading, and operational queues.Experience with Core Data, SwiftData, and persistent storage technologies.Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs/web services and parsing JSON.Experience with GitHub, Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry.IO, and CI/CD.Experience using AI-assisted development or productivity tools such as Cursor or comparable tools.Experience with UI/UX implementation, wireframes, and mobile application usability.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience with unit testing and code reviews.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of technical assignments.Ability to collaborate effectively within a development team and provide mentoring or technical leadership.Beneficial / Preferred QualificationsExperience with Kotlin and Android development.Experience with payment gateways and payment processing with mobile ticketing applications, ticket validation, and QR/barcode scanning SDKs.Experience with mobile app-to-app with CoreBluetooth (BLE).Experience integrating external accessories using MFi / External Accessory Framework.Experience with barcode scanners, scanner sleds, receipt printers, and other external mobile peripherals.Knowledge of network protocols and mobile networking technologies.Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based application services.Familiarity with C++, PHP, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and Oracle SQL.Experience working in enterprise or large-scale mobile application environments.
