Responsibilities Assist in preparing surfaces and substrates for tile and flooring installation, ensuring they meet project specifications. Lay tiles accurately according to technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints, maintaining consistent grout lines and alignment. Install a variety of flooring materials including epoxy floors, vinyl, hardwood, carpet, and laminate, following industry standards. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure building materials during installation processes. Support water damage restoration efforts by removing damaged flooring and preparing surfaces for new installations. Follow all building installation safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Interpret construction plans and schematics to execute precise installations aligned with project requirements. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a focus on flooring or building material installation. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings related to tile laying and flooring projects. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as caulking guns, trowels, saws, drills, and other power tools. Knowledge of construction estimating practices and the ability to assess project scope accurately. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy materials or equipment regularly. Strong understanding of building installation safety compliance standards to maintain a secure work environment. Experience in restoration industry projects or water damage restoration is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail for quality craftsmanship in floor refinishing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet setup. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interpret technical instructions efficiently.
