Junior Marine Technician
THE ROLEWe are seeking recent graduates and early-career candidates to join our team as Junior Marine Technicians as part of a shared support model across multiple locations, including the Florida Keys, Turks & Caicos, and U.S. Virgin Islands.You will be based in the Florida Keys, supporting day-to-day fleet operations locally while traveling regularly to assist across our Caribbean markets—working across multiple Caribbean destinations and combining hands-on technical experience with the benefit of working in paradise.This is a hands-on opportunity to build foundational experience across multiple tropical locations and fleet environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in diagnosing and repairing marine engines, including either inboard diesel or outboard gasoline systemsGain hands-on exposure to platforms such as Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, and/or diesel systems depending on assignmentPerform scheduled preventive maintenance, fluid services, impeller replacements, and zincsTroubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems, bilge systems, and instrumentationConduct pre-season and post-season commissioning/decommissioning across fleetCoordinate parts procurement, maintain parts inventory logs, and manage vendor relationships on-siteSupport haul-out coordination and work with boatyard partners as neededDocument all service work in maintenance logs; update fleet status reports dailyCommunicate proactively with on-site operations managers and coordinate with shore-based fleet managementMaintain a safe, organized mobile work environment; comply with all OSHA and marine safety standardsRespond to urgent vessel breakdowns and service calls during deployment windowsTravel & Deployment Requirements This role requires travel (~50%) across multiple locationsPrimary base: Key WestRegular travel to:U.S. Virgin IslandsTurks and CaicosTypical deployment structure may include rotational assignments (e.g., 2 weeks on-site / 1 week in base market) depending on operational needsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision across remote locationsValid U.S. driver’s licenseLegal authorization to work in the United StatesValid passport with at least 6 months validity; must be able to meet entry requirements for assigned international destinationsPhysically capable of working in marine environments (lifting 50+ lbs, confined spaces, heat and humidity exposure)QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRecent graduate of a marine, mechanical, or technical program preferred0–2+ years of hands-on experience (internship/training acceptable)Basic understanding of marine engines or mechanical systemsExposure to outboard engines preferredFoundational knowledge of 12V systems is a plusPreferred QualificationsTechnical certifications or coursework in marine/diesel mechanicsInternship or hands-on training experience Interest in multi-location marine operationsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base pay aligned with experience and entry-level market ratesRelocation AsisstanceTool Allowance:Career development and hands-on training opportunities
