Mid-level Scala Developer

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components across the software development lifecycle
- Develop and enhance scalable REST APIs based on designs and business requirements
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and tech teams to address design gaps and improve functionality
- Build, configure, and support scalable software solutions using modern frameworks and tools
- Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives)
- Support deployments, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities
Key requirements:
- 5+ years in software development and application support
- Strong experience with Scala, Java and REST API development
- Experience with JavaScript and modern web development practicesExperience developing and consuming RESTful services using Scala (mandatory)
- Knowledge of design patterns, OOP, and secure coding practicesExperience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex applications
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance and residence in the United States (3 of last 5 years)analytical thinkingclear communicationteam collaboration
