Senior Commissioning Engineer

Senior Commissioning Engineer- Data CentersA leading global real estate and engineering firm is seeking experienced Senior Commissioning Engineers to support hyperscale and mission critical projects across North America.We are looking for professionals with strong electrical and/or mechanical commissioning experience on large-scale data center construction projects.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute commissioning activities in line with ASHRAE standards and industry best practices.Lead QA/QC, startup, functional testing, and integrated systems testing for critical electrical and mechanical systems.Develop commissioning plans, test scripts, SOPs, MOPs, and project documentation.Perform design reviews, site inspections, and witness testing activities.Coordinate with contractors, consultants, AHJs, and project teams throughout all project phases.Utilize commissioning and QA/QC platforms including BIM360, CxAlloy, and Facility Grid.Support project delivery while ensuring quality, safety, and contractual compliance.Qualifications5+ years of relevant engineering or field-testing experience.3+ years in data center commissioning or QA/QC services.Required ExperienceExperience on greenfield data center projects exceeding 25MW.Strong knowledge of critical systems including UPS, generators, ATS/STS, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, BMS/BAS, EPMS, and related infrastructure.Ability to perform and interpret electrical testing including PQM, thermography, megger, hi-pot, and grounding tests.Strong communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel.Preferred QualificationsEngineering or technology degree (ABET preferred) or equivalent industry experience.Commissioning certification from a recognized authority.PE, PMP, Master Electrician, or Mechanical License considered an asset.Consultancy or owner-side experience is advantageous.Additional InformationUp to 50% travel across the USA and Canada required.Opportunity to work on high-profile, mission critical projects with a global industry leader.
